How to keep alive in early game?
Remeber this is a survival game, you need food and water to feed yourself, and flowers to recover focus. You can harvest apples from trees (faster with axe), and get water from the river. You can use swords to collect followers. When you reach level 10, you can create beds for your own. See Crafting page for more information.
How to harvest different ingredients?
Depending on what tools you use, you can harvest different ingredients from the same object. Try using switching between axe, swords or pickaxes If you can't get what you want. (for example, pickaxes works better on rocks. Only barehand can harvest gold coin from barrels.)
